“ Cute place with a cute atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, my daughter commented on the cajun music and how amazing the food smelled. And, the food was fantastic! I especially recommend the gumbo. We will definitely be eating here again. I forgot to grab some Beignets because we were so stuffed. Should've gotten them to-go! ”
“ Okay, let me tell you that the outside of this place will fool you. We literally tried this place because the reviews seemed worthy enough to try, but we were beyond skeptical. From the outside it looks “fast food...ish” or it appears it serves Gumbo with a salad bar (we drive by all the time thinking exactly that...gumbo and salad)......OH, NO, NO, NO.....it is a full on Cajun “certified” restaurant (in my opinion). My wife was prepared to go next door and eat if this did not live up to expectations and I can tell you, we can’t wait to go back (still trying to figure out where New York Hot Dogs got into the mix, but who doesn’t love a good hot dog-maybe next time, I digress). So, please do not be like my wife and I and expect some Cajun food with some sprinkle of Cajun seasoning and call it a Cajun restaurant because Little Daddy’s Gumbo can compete with those five star restaurants. After eating, I told my wife, “they could be on Bourbon street in New Orleans” and the locals would go crazy....you need to try this place. Red beans and Rice, “c’mon man, make you wanna slap yo mama” (and pretty sure that seasoning was mixed in there somewhere). Jacked up Jalapeno’s with shrimp and possibly crawfish...and finally, I think the owners stole my own idea of green beans (but you gotta add some brown sugar) and to my daughter’s delight, the beans were a hit that night and the next day for leftovers. This endorsement is not a paid advertisement. It’s to tell you, “never judge the book by its cover.” It’s not a “hole in the wall” either, it just does not appear from the outside (it’s not that it was bad from the outside, it just looks like a grab and go) to be a place where you can get this good of quality of food and also enjoy the ambience. We can’t wait to go back and please folks, if you are in the area and you want a great Cajun meal and a great adult beverage, please stop by Little Daddy’s Gumbo and let’s get the word out (maybe it’s already out, so we apologize we are late to the party). If you want a great meal and save give Little Daddy’s Gumbo a try-you just might walk out going, “I’ll give them a 8.75 out of 10 (and keep in mind we were thinking 2.75 before we walked in...thank you and keep up the great ambience! ”
“ I had the seafood platter. I am a bit of a shrimp snob. This was legit fresh Gulf shrimp. The fried oysters were very flavourful. the catfish was fried to perfection. I highly recommend. I didn't have the gumbo this trip, but I will definitely be back. ”
“ Wow, What a great place to have lunch ordinary. What time does restaurant easy location with ample parking in great atmospherian. I was greeted and seated by friendly staff right away. Order the boiled shrimp as an appetizer. Has a main entry I ordered the crawfish at two fay which was a giant portion including the precious french bread i've ever had. The food near was cooked to order and serve hot and fresh. ”
“ Delicious food ! Went there yesterday for my first time , accidentally came across it I was in the area trying to find something to eat. Hands down the most delicious Cajun meal I've eaten in a while ! Etouffee the gumbo , zucchini , bacon wrapped shrimp , blackened fish . Everything was on point. Definitely coming back to eat something different and definitely going to bring some friends. I highly recommend it. ”
“ Mmmmm. Definitely has the true Cajun taste going on. My glass never got over 1/2 empty, waitress was on top of things. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was by far way better than expected, seems like most of the employees working stopped by the table to check on things. We will definitely be back. ”
“ I was craving fish and shrimp after a day at the beach and found this place on the way home. Was not disappointed- everything was delicious, fresh and crispy. I actually really liked my fiance’s shrimp feast platter more than mine - the coconut shrimp and bacon wrapped shrimp were my favorite! ”
“ The chicken and sausage gumbo was very good. We would've preferred more rice considering it was 16oz of gumbo (the little daddy). The shrimp poboy was okay. I didn't care for mayo/Tabasco sauce on the sandwich. The sweet potato fries were very good. Beignets were visually appealing but left much to be desired taste wise. ”
